We have released another free Excel spreadsheet. This one assists in the organisation of artefacts from the
General Records Office in the United Kingdom. It should help prevent ordering of duplicate artefacts and index them.

We have changed the searches for birth, marriage and death certificates by adding the ability to show names that have alternate spellings.
These changes will automatically take place when you select a name from the drop down. For example if you search for 'Purves' as a surname
the search will show any alternate spelling matches. i.e. 'Perves'.
We hope to roll the ability out to our other search pages shortly.

We are in the process of entering marriages from Great Ayton in Yorkshire from 1837-1900. These

We released a new, free Excel spreadsheet named BMD Lister.xlsm.
This spreadsheet takes the text file created by downloading from the FreeBMD website results and
puts them into a worksheet.

We have fixed an issue with the Death Certificate search and we have truncated the cause of death field to 40 characters
on the search criteria selection only. The actual certificate details have the full field displayed.
2nd January 2022
We are currently adding certificate details for births, marriages and deaths to include years up to and including 1921.
We have decided to do this in light of the 1921 census being about to be released.

We have corrected a glitch with the Death certificate search from the summary page.
All searches should now work fine, if not please contact us with the details so that we can correct the issue.

We have added the names, occupation and life status of the fathers of the couple getting married to our results pages.
We have made the assumption that if the status isn't declared as 'deceased' on the marriage certificate than the
father is still living. If you know differently, or if you can fill in some of the missing data (relationship of witnesses) please contact us
with the details and we will add them.

We have made a little tweak to the birth, marriages and death search pages to make the output in surname order rather than database key order.
Several more certificates have been added to the database. Please checkout the database statistics for a current count.

We have completed the data entry for the Bowes Parish registers.
We are planning to start entering the register information for Barningham Marriages or Deaths next.

Happy New Year! We now have over 3000 parish records in the Bowes Parish register and we are still only
up to the letter "B"! It will be a long haul but we are working on it.

We are still in the process of adding records to the database but what is there is now searchable.

Marriage certificate report details have been developed and are available from the dropdown menu.

Added a new marriage certificate database. Currently only a couple of certificates have been added
but it is hoped to add more soon.
Marriage certificate report details are still in development as they present some unique challenges.
It is hoped to have this developed shortly.
Changed the search options pages to cut down of any searches for people not in the database.
The selections now are populated from information contained with the database only.
